Background of Theme Selection
Theme : The Era of Climate Crisis, the Role of ESG
Background of Theme Selection
  • The world focuses on the "UNEP Finance Initiative" which means the overall management activities of financial institutions aim to be carried out based on sustainability.
  • When conducting corporate evaluation, not only financial factors but also non-financial factors (e.g., ESG) that affect corporate value and sustainability are reflected
Necessity
  • In Korea, corporate social responsibility activities that are non-financial (e.g., eco-friendly activities) have become one of the main indicators for evaluating the corporate value
  • A platform is needed for establishing leadership of financial institutions at the international level and for international networking between major stakeholders in the government and civil society and financial institutions.
